TEDxKalamata returns for the 4th time, entitled “firstep,” on June 27, at the Theater of Ancient Messini, in an attempt to explore that human moment when you decide to take that “first step,” daring to change your life forever.

The speakers:

• Inna Shevchenko – Head of the international activist movement Femen.
• Rolf Landua – Top physician, head of training at CERN.
• Zineb El Rhazoui – Journalist at Charlie Hebdo, who survived the tragedy.
• Andreja Pejic – Beautiful transexual top model, and Jan Paul Gaultier’s muse.
• Marietta Provopoulou – Director of Doctors Without Borders in Greece.
• Monika – The Greek singer with the “enchanting” voice.
• Laurence O’ Rourke – Mission Science Operations Coordinator of the ESA’s Rosetta mission.
• Bob Carey – “Mr Tutu,” who is fighting against breast cancer.
• David Kwong – The famous wizard and illusions’ whisperer.
• Homayoon Kazerooni – Professor of robotics at Berkeley University, who developed the exoskeleton systems.
• Fio Silva – The new street-art star, who transforms the streets of the world.

11 great speakers will visit Greece for the first time, in order to talk to us about their first steps; steps that marked the course of their lives, with the capacity to change the course of history.

The next day, Sunday, June 28 at 20:30, a networking party will take place at Arossa (entrance is free), where the TEDxKalamata 2015 spectators will have the opportunity to meet the speakers and talk to them.

• Free bus transportation for 150 people from Kalamata to Ancient Messini and back; the buses leave at 19:00 from the main square (behind the building of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization – ΟΤΕ).
