Agricultural Meetings

2015

SUMMARY OF ACTION

As part of its main goal to keep Messinian producers constantly informed, the “Captain Vassilis and Carmen Constantakopoulos” Foundation has initiated a series of open presentations in more areas in Messinia that are purely agricultural. During the meetings, the guest scientist briefly presents specific practical issues (quality improvement, production protection, olive diseases etc.), and then the producers and the audience have the opportunity to hold discussions and ask questions. The purpose of these educational meetings is to provide information to professional farmers, new farmers, agricultural processors and other professionals in this specific field. Five meetings have taken place so far, in Diavolitsi, Koroni and Gargaliani, with the participation of approximately 120 producers and rural economy professionals.
